The Gorillas Select Team is a tryout-only opportunity for players in the Gorillas Lacrosse fall program who are ready to compete against top talent.

The select team is designed for players who demonstrate commitment, coachability, and the ability to compete at a higher level. Every player in the fall program has the opportunity to earn a roster spot.
Tournament Play
Players selected for the team will represent Gorillas Lacrosse at the Orlando Open Tournament, competing against high-level programs from across the region, state, and country.
Tryout Information
Try-outs will be held in late October, 2026 and are open exclusively to players registered in the Gorillas Fall Program.
Selection will be based on the athlete's tryout evaluation, and their individual effort, attitude, and performance during the fall season.
The roster is limited to 25 players.
The select Team Fee is $125 and includes
- Registration and participation in the Orlando Open Tournament December 5-6, 2026
- Practices Monday & Wednesdays
November 9- December 6
(No Practice the week of Thanksgiving)
There is no fee to try out for the select team, and players selected to participate will be invoiced after the team is announced.
